For the last 2 days my laptop has had it's hard drive on 100% load because of mainly 2 processes in the task manager: System and Host Process for Windows Tasks. I checked into performance to see what system and host process is doing and system seems to be doing mainly 2 things: writing into pagefile or writing NTFS volume logs. Taskhostw also seems to be doing a lot of reading into NTFS master file table. Task manager mostly looks like this https://prnt.sc/pilko8 and resources look like this https://prnt.sc/pillfm. My CPU and GPU seem completely fine and I don't understand why it would be writing into the pagefile if there's more than half of ram still available.
I have no clue what is going, somehow I had a small reprieve by doing a force shutdown when it got stuck and didn't want to restart (which would take me back to log in instead, now it restarts normally but it takes forever because the hard is on load even when shutting down). I've tried SFC scannow and all it said was it fixed some things and couldn't repair some (a few windows defender things). I tried CrystalDiskInfo to see if my SSHD had something wrong, but everything looks like this https://prnt.sc/pilkek (I'm not good with PCs, but I trust that the "Good" status means my SSHD is okay. I've tried to turn off windows update with group policy editor, but nothing changed. I have no clue what's caused this because the only things I've installed in the last 2 days is the Eclipse IDE and protonVPN.
It's still completely possible to use the laptop, but it's unbearably slow and if I try playing games it runs kinda fine, except loading screens are 2-3 times as long and sometimes there's around a 10 sec freeze. At this point I'm thinking of doing a fresh install of windows.
