help! need affordable speakers w/BEST sound!

Well, it happened again. Blew my beloved old Sony speakers, and I just had them repaired last summer. I guess I must concede that it's time for new speakers. But what? I'd rather not get rid of my 27 year old Sony receiver. Would wireless speakers work with it?

I'm really sensitive to audio and appreciate great quality sound, though I have no technical understanding of anything electronic. I'm also stuck with a pathetically low budget.

Any recommendations?

What exactly is this "low budget"? For BEST sound speakers a budget can be several hundred for a budget good speaker if you are talking about good quality, or $30. To some people a low budget for speakers can be $1,000 since some speakers reach many times that.

You could use wireless speakers with the addition of a transmitter to the receiver but the sound won't be acceptable.
Take a look at Revel speakers. They start at $900pr and are neutral and dynamic. Easy to drive so you won't need to change the receiver.
