Help Needed For Overclocking GPU

A little backstory to know why I’m Overclocking.

So today after I decided to play Rise Of The Tomb Raider and saw that the benchmarks dipped below 60 at times even hitting high 40s at times so I decided I’d Overclock my GPU so I’d be able to get a solid 60 but there are some things that have been confusing me. I’m using MSI Afterburner and MSI Kombuster to do and test my overclock and I was able to increase my core clock to 210 and memory clock at 500 when I run Kombuster from the Afterburner application it runs that Benchmark that has a radar-like thing going around at 720p windowed and I’m able to run it for 10+ minutes (I didn’t test it for longer). I was a bit confused why it was 720p since my display is 1080p. I had no articles or issues during that benchmark and it ran perfectly. When I do the Kombuster app it runs a benchmark with the furry MSI logo and it also runs at 720 and has no issues. The issue comes when I put it at 1080p. When I do so the app crashes after 2 or 3 minutes of running and I’ve seen that my core clock doesn’t seem to affect it very much as it still runs even as I push it to 220 but when I did open Kombuster with the Afterburner app to open the radar like benchmark it crashes every time. The radar benchmark doesn’t seem to have visible effects when I bump up memory clock even if I increase it +700 (it does say I have artifacts though in the corner) but for the furry one does since it crashes when I run that And vice versa when running a higher core clock furry benchmark runs fine radar one doesn’t.

Summary: What Resolution should I benchmark Kombuster at? Which one of the 2 do I use (furry or radar) and when do I knew I’ve reached my Overclocking limits.

Sorry this is long af I just want every detail to be present so no1 has to ask me simple questions I could have put in already.

Hey, so I just updated my post I felt like the previous one sounded like gibberish. Also 200 has been working fine for me I’ve seen more crashes due to memory clock speed change rather than core clock. Sorry I’m new I don’t know what you mean by model it’s a MSI 1060 3GB though.

+200 might be fine for GTX 1060. But if it crashes that means you're going too far. Different apps/programs will react different to overclocking. For instance some games will run fine, others may not. GTAV was one that would artifact pretty bad on me if I had my core maxed out.

Alright I’ll put my core clock down to 160 and my Memory to 400 where they were compleateky stable.
But should I run Kombuster at 720 or 1080 and what does each of the two different benchmarks tell me ?
