Hey guys, my current rig is:

-CX600 Corsair power supply
-GTX 760 ASUS
-DH61ww mobo
-i3 2100 processor
-4 GB RAM [local brand and I don't know it's specs]
[let me know if there's anything else you'd want to know in order to help me out]

I'd want to upgrade my RAM to this (AND remove my old 4GB RAM): Corsair Vengeance DDR3 8 GB (1 x 8 GB) PC DRAM (CMZ8GX3M1A1600C10)

http://www.flipkart.com/corsair-vengeance-ddr3-8-gb-1-x-gb-pc-dram-cmz8gx3m1a1600c10/p/itmd8cfmbufg3dnq?pid=RAMD8CFMX53FYAXY&icmpid=reco_pp_same_storage_ram_1&ppid=RAMD2RYPMVWCEK6E

My questions are:
1. Would this RAM be compatible with my system?
2. Would it run fine or not?
3. Is there a chance that it might end up damaging my system anyhow?
4. And your suggestions, ofcource :)
5. The new RAM is clocked at 1600, wouldn't that be a problem?

Thanks!

The ram will fit your mobo but I don't know if it's compatible with your curent RAM. What you could do is just take the old ram out and just use the new ones.
The new ram will only operate at 1333MHz unless you go into your bios and adjust it. Unfortunately I don't know how to do that with your MOBO.

If you can though I would get 2 4gb sticks of the same ram so that you're getting that Dual Channel boost of performance.

It won't damage your system either.

Yeah, I'd be removing my current 4 GB RAM and replace with the new one, so let me know if that is fine because I don't want to go for dual 4GB sticks as I am planning for some nice upgrades in the future :)
