Hi all, can some please help as I'm pulling my hair out!!! I have installed from new 2 x 8Gb modules ( Corsair Dominator Platinum 16Gb (2x8) DDR4 3600Mhz ) into a new build and the system posts fine. I am completely in stock settings on everything with latest bios and drivers etc but in windows and the bios the RAM is showing 4Gb in each of the two occupied slots? Is this normal or am I missing something??
I have removed and replaced one at a time, reversing the slots etc but still the same! Does anyone know if there is a setting I am missing in the Crosshair VI Hero BIOS that I have to enable or something. Is there anything I can do to prove the fault is with the RAM module or motherboard etc.
Any help or advice much appreciated as I have not been around PCs for many years ( a MAC user for 20+ )
Cheers
