Question Help needed, rx 5600 xt

So i bought an rx 5600 xt(used) the gpu handles the amd stress test perfectly but when i open a game my screen goes black and the pc crashes(sometimes i can hear a windows error sound)

My specs
i5 9400
2x8gb ram 2400Mhz
Gigabyte H310m H
550w 80 plus sentey powersupply
1tb ssd

(gpu main, vram, and vrm temps are completely normal)

How old is the PSU in your build?

What GPU were you working with prior to the RX5600XT? BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time?

its 3 years old, i last updated my bios on july/august of 2021

My money is on the quality of your power supply

maybe, still weird because the gpu passes the stress test consuming like 100-110w, ive also seen it consume 160w and it didnt turn off

Personally I’ve fried a motherboard with a cheap power supply. Stress test may not always tell as much in this case just because you aren’t in a game. The fact is though in my opinion you can’t effectively troubleshoot until you know you’ve got a stable power source.
