[SOLVED] Help needed with upgrading my pc

So I have pc that's pretty much outdated. I haven't upgraded since I bought it around 6 7 years ago if I remember correctly. I'm not much of a builder I only know the basics. So I'm asking your help on what I should purchase in order to play most games in medium - high settings.


My current pc specs:

CPU : intel core i3, 3.6 GHz

GPU : Nvidia Geforce gtx 660 , 2gb

Ram : 8 gb

Motherboard : Asus B85M-G




So how much money do I have to throw for this upgrade and what direction should I go with my CPU? Should I switch to ryzen or should I stay with intel? Also do I need to buy another motherboard or upgrade something else in general?
If you guys want any more info please ask me anything.
I would be so thankful for any help that you gaius can give me.

What is the exact processor model? You might be able to get more life out of your current platform with just a cpu upgrade, but need to know what you have. Also, what is your budget?

My processor is intel core i3-10100f 3.6GHz
and my budget would be somewhere between 500 to 600 euros

You can't have that processor with an Asus B85M-G. Either your motherboard or processor you listed above is wrong. I need the right one to see what's possible.
