Help needed

When I bought my Compaq laptop it had 2 gb ram (2 x 1gb) Then I removed 1 and added another 2gb. Now the RAM is 3gb. But I do not find the quick booting and its somewhat delayed. Should I got to do something about this. Thanks for your expertise advice.

It is not a good idea to mix memory strip types.
If you indicate the make and model of the strips, perhaps someone will be able to tell you if they should work together or not.
