I am having an issue with a recently built Windows 11 PC (below). Made to do some photoshop (thus higher ram) but almost no gaming (so lesser gpu).
On occasion, usually when the screen has timed out, the screen will "stretch." Not horizontally (right to left) but vertically.
I cannot figure out what causes it. The only way I have found to reset it is to go into advanced display settings and change the refresh rate.
However, sometimes, it stretches so far that I cannot see enough of the display screen to do that, and i have to hard restart using the button on the case.
All GPU drivers are up to date as of 5 minutes ago.

Any advice on what my be causing it, or how to troubleshoot to find out the problem?

CPU: Ryzen 5 5600X
Motherboard: Asus TUF Gaming B550-Plus WIFI II
Memory: Patriot Viper 4 DDR4 3600 64GB
Storage: Crucial P3 Plus 1TB M.2 (plus several for storage from old PC)
GPU: ASRock RX 6600
PSU: Corsair RM750x
Monitors: (Old) Asus ProArt PA238

I recommend setting Windows so the video output to the screen does not "time out". This is one of the first things I do when configuring a new installation of Windows. I also disable power saving on the boot drive and keep it running all the time. The small savings in my electricity bills are not worth all the potential problems caused by disabling video and disk.

When I leave a computer running for a long period and I'm not in the room, I simply press the power button on the monitor to switch it off. The computer continues runing in the background (e.g. video rendering overnight in Premier Pro). The next morning I switch the monitor back on and everything works normally.
