Help on picking out a fan / hs

I have a EVGA 780 SLI and I need advice for a good fan / hs under $40 that will fit in the case for my CPU

Seems to be awesome CFM , 90, and seems to be quiet 24db, price is gr8, $29.99 with free shipping, BUT, would it fit??

What do you mean, will it fit? If you mean in your case, what is your case? Also, what CPU do you have? Post complete specs.

Yes it'll fit that CPU because it is a LGA775 socket, and that HSF is a LGA775 cooler it'll work. Just make sure you have good thermal paste and your ready to go.

It should be fine. But I'd get a wider case if possible.

Why don't you just measure the clearance between your CPU and the side pannel? If you don't want to remove the current HSF, measure the distance between the HSF and the side panel, then add the height of the HSF 😛.

From the images I see on NewEgg, you might have to remove that side panel air duct.
