Help on switching GTX 970 to first PC-IE lane.

Hello all, I have completed my build about 2 months now, and recently I found out that my graphics card is on the second PC-IE lane. Can you guys give me tips on how to switch it back to the first PC-IE because the first lane matches with my card as 3.0 x16, but it is currently on my second lane which is 3.0 x8. Also I would have to also move my wifi card. How do I do this? Do I just pull it out and plug it on the first one or do I have to uninstall/reinstall drivers? This is my first build, I appreciate any help possible.
Specs -MSI Gaming 5
-MSI GTX 970 Twin Frozr

It is as simple as powering the system down (remove monitor cables) Then move the graphics card (reinstall monitor cables) and then power up the system.

Yeah. Your graphics card should be installed in the PCI-Ex16 slot closest to your CPU. The wireless network adapter can be installed in any of the PCI-Ex1 slots (even the one it's currently in).

You should not need to re-install drivers for either card. Just remove them from their current slot and install them where they should go.

There is a black lever on the end of the slot. Push it down so you can pull out the card from the slot.

The drivers will not be affected.

shut system off and remove wi-fi card to lower pci slot then move up gpu to first slot you wont need to reinstall driver .
