I have the Asus P5PE-VM mobo and the E6400 CPU and 2 x 1G 400mhz Kingston KVR400X64C3A/1G memory modules.

I checked on the net to find what I should manually set the timings at for these RAM modules.

Anyone help me with a link to set them (ie: 4-4-4-12)?

Thanks in advance.

According to Kingston's website, they're CL3. Try setting them to 3-3-3- 8. GL :)

Here's the link to the PDF in case you want to look:

Yes I tried to save money on a RAM upgrade and also to be able to keep my ATI x800xt AIW AGP card.

Well in many many posts I've read that you should manually set your timings instead of auto spd.

I actually just tried them at 2.5-3-3-8 and it seems to be fine for that last 5 hours or gaming and surfing.

I am highly interested in that mobo since it will allow me to keep my AGP card and DDR memory and get a nice core2duo. Hows the board?

But as far as ram timings go you need to get memtest86. Goto BIOS and set a timing and test it. If it is stable then try a lower setting till it is nice and low and stable. Every mobo and mem combo is different. So it is more trial and error.

Newegg has them BTW.
