Hi people, about a year ago I setup a miniITX rig as a budget gaming PC (1-2 games) and uni work - programming (Python mostly). Recently, I am starting to work in R and using large datasets along with Illustrator and Photoshop. I think I need to upgrade my PC to compute more efficiently as the datasets I am working with are very slow to load compared with IMacs at uni so I would like a little more speed at home. I am not sure what would be the most appropriate method. Any advice on improving performance primarily for the use of Illustrator and R?
Budget, would like to keep it under 1k upgrade, and obviously not just go out and buy a whole new system, unless this base layout has no hope of being the type of system i need. Thank you heaps!
