help please !!!!

hi! i have a lenovo e20 thinkstation it has a Intel® Xeon® Processor X3450 CPU 4gb or ECC ram 1333MHZ and a nvidia quadro 600 ,and i wana change the gpu befor that i did change the PSU from a 280W to a 600w 80+ gaming psu , when i wanted to try the new gpu it was a XFX R9 270X and i didnt work the system wont boot i did one hell of a search but no reasonable result , although i returned the r9 to the vendor , he tested it and it was working fin with no problem, so my qstn is what are the gpus that my pc can run ??
ps : i saw on a vendig website that some one is vending a lenovo e20 but with a nvidia gtx 650 , i did wanted to contact him but i couldn't . thanks ahead 😀

ok your system doesn't support uefi. and the gpu uses that. you could flash the bios so it does support uefi and use all gpus or stick with the ones that dont use it. you could use any of the nvidia 600 series. i am running a hd 5970 in my computer that had the same problem and i love it.
