I've got a Duron 750 Running on a Giga-byte 7zxe1 board, now the only thing I can do to over clock it is, change the FSB, I've taken it to 110 right now ( 7.5x110=825mhz) and its stable, but if i try to move the fsb to 133, and boot my machine gets no video or anything. I thought that it might be becasue my mem was pc100, so I picked up a new stick of micron pc133 and the same problem,I cant change anything in the bios, (voltage and multipler are locked on gigabytes) does anyone have any ideas on how I can try to get this thing to 997mhz. AS well if I can get it that high will my crome orb be enough for cooling it?

The kt133 chipset cant handle that high Fsb it generaly maxes out at 112-115. as for the oc you can mod the cpu itself via the gold bridges on the cpu check out toms guide on overclocking amds socet a.

search in tom's "how to" section and look for links to unlocking durons. i don't think he tells you how to do the pencil unlocking. he should have put a link there somewhere.

you could use a standard number 2 pencil to unlock your duron. that's how people really over clock the duron. once you unlock it, the bios should highlight the clock multiplier setting.

If you can't beat 'em kill 'em
