hello, im at my end heh, so i thought i would see if someone here could help me with this, just upgraded comp to MSI KT400 Ultra, 1GB PC 2700 ram (2x512), and have a athlon xp 1600+ CPU, geforce 3 TI 200, useing windows xp, well after upgradeing im getting unhandled exceptions when playing games like tribes2, or crashing to desktop in EQ, also haveing problems with explorer when browsing the internet, gets an error (dont say which) gives the send error report then closes to desktop, not sure why this is happening, have downloaded and installed all the latest drivers, checked my sys settings in the cmos, any ideas would be great thanks. ))

Sounds like it could be memory issues, although I do not know how best to work that. you could try removing like say 3/4 of your memory and see if you still have issues.

I agree, try new memmory, or try you chips one at a time.

Run MEMTEST86 on your memory, 1 stick at a time.
See if your memory checks out ok. If it doesnt, use more conservative timings and/or slower speeds. If that still doesnt work, get it replaced.

To test the cpu out, run PRIME95 and its torture test.

I had some Samsung Memory that passed Memtest but failed in the Windows environment when paired up, they worked fine individually though, your RAM is not manufactured by Samsung is it? If it is pull one of the modules and it will work fine, keep the other for a backup, you really don't need 1Gig of memory anyway.
