Yooo, need some advice for an upgrade. Been lookin into the 6750XT, only the XFX model is available (not the MERC or QICK models but the "reference card"? one~ RX-675TMBAF9). Question I've got is how well would it pair with the i5 11400f (unlocked voltage)? Mainly plan on playing competitve shooters and a few SP titles such as GTA5/RDR2/Cyberpunk/... 1080p @144hz for now, I might go 1440p eventually, but It's not a priority. Actually, how far can I go with this CPU? Like, what’s the most powerful GPU I could pair with it before running into bottlenecks? For example, would a 7700 XT be overkill, or still fine? Rest of the specs, asrock b560m pro4, 2x16GB @3200Mhz, FSP Vita GM 750W, Win 11 Pro.
Thanks in advance! 🙂

6750 xt
or 7700 xt will be fine.

basicly faster your cpu the better it can punch more frames

also its 100 percent how the game uses resources.

for example.

gta 5 likes a fast cpu and a mid range gpu.

cyberpunk wants both.

it really depends on the game engine there is no magic 1 is a bottleneck vs the other.

hogwarts legacy for example with throw a absolute fit if it doesnt have 32gb prepare for stutter hell.

if you want a better result remember to turn on sam or smart access memory.
RESIZABLE BAR IF INTEL.

Yeeye I get ya. So, which one would you get? Is spending like 60 euros more for the 7700XT worth it, would it be an "overkill" for the 11400 lol?

What are the euro price differences like cost wise. as im seeing a smaller gap then 60 euro more like 30 euro
Prices here in Serbia make no sense, they are all around the place. But the 6750XT is 43000 (366euros) and the 7700XT 51000 (435 euros). Also I've been browsing a bit more and found 5060Ti for around the same price as the 7700XT tho It's a 8GB model, so now I'm even more confused on what to get lmao, shit.. all I know is that I've got a massive headache

Rx 7700xt
Rx 7800 xt
Rx 7900 gre ( if you can find them)

6000 series might not get as many updates down the line Vs 7000 series

All of these are good cards.

5060 ti to me aren't worth it the cut down lanes and vram make it a pretty bad card for older rigs 5000 series of Nvidia are a cancer drivers have been quite horrific.

Ye the 7800XT and 7900GRE are a bit more on the expensive side for me (600euros) and I don't think they'd make much sense with my current build. I'm aware that the 6000 series might slow down with the updates, guess the 7700XT makes the most sense then huh. And ye, from what I've read both Ti and normal 5060 models aren't worth it, well unless you find a good priced 16GB model, which for me there are none atm. I'll research for a day or two more and decide then.
Appreciate the help

No problem 12gb is plenty for 1080p and 1440p at the moment as long as you aren't throwibg ray tracing on you can get away with reflections in cyberpunk without to much of a penalty also 7700xt does ray tracing better with less. To me even the 16gb model on Nvidia side isn't worth the silicon on a 128 bit bus at x8 it's a crippled card and it's a deliberate crippling.

Amd have a 9060xt in the wings on a 128 bit bus but with x16 lanes and 16gb coming out around June 5 so you may wanna wait till it's out and see the prices around that and the performance.

Yup, 12GB is more then enough for me, I'm not really the type of guy that cares for graphics especially ray tracing well actually maybe only texture quality but yee. Wait even the 16GB model is 128bit lol damn some of these companies really try to squeeze every $$$ possible. Guess I could wait and see how they price the 9060XT here, bet it ain't gonna be under 500e.

The 9060xt is 128 bit also.

Really the 5060ti 16gb isn’t terrible. Had one for a bit and if you use dlss and frame gen it isn’t a bad card. I did end up getting more money and returned it and got a 9070xt, but on a budget, even at 1440p it was acceptable for the price I think.
DLSS for sure could be useful idk about frame gen, the potential of input lag seems annoying but then again I'm on a RX 590 so I have no idea if It's that serious. Guess the price and 8GB models are the main reason people shit on them, the cheapest 16GB model for me is around 480e and the cheapest 9070XT is 780e, shits wild

A 6750xt or 7700xt should pair up fine with your CPU. A 7700xt performs similarly to my RX 6800. I would definitely hold out and see how well the 9060xt 16gb does in reviews.
Hmm I see I see. Ye ima wait and see, FSR 4 seems decent, hopefully the price is good. Wait, is it known if 6000 and 7000 series will get FSR 4 eventually or will it only be 9000 series exclusive?

Currently its a 9000 series exclusive, it makes use of the fixed function hardware thats in the GPU, and that hardware isnt available on any of the other series, so it doesn't currently work with them. There is supposedly a plan to get a version of it working with the 7000 series, but i haven't heard anything more one way or the other about it for the past couple of months.

Ah I see, interesting. Well more reasons to wait and see the new 9060XT then.

9060 xt fsr4 is a much cleaner image does better with water textures then fsr3

At any rate you may see a price drop on a rx7700 if 9060xt competes or destroys it and yeah 128 bit bus sucks a bit but at least it has all it's x16 lanes attached.

Basically In a nut shell more reason to wait and see how it plays out less hassle with drivers as it's a mono die not a chiller like 7000 series so they can really fine tune these cards there less complex
I’d consider waiting. I would not expect the 6000 series cards to get fsr4. 7000 maybe a cut down version but don’t count on that. So I’d say current gen is your best bet unless you just get a deal.
Yupyup, I'll just wait then, I ain't in rush to get a new GPU anyways.
