Hello everyone

So here's my problem...
I am using 2 GTX 980 Ti in SLI
and have the Cooler Master V1200 Platinum to power them.

Each card has one PCI-e power cable running from a 6 pin output on my PSU. This cable has one 6 pin connector on one end and two 6+2 pin connectors on the other end which plug into the two 8 pin connectors on the card.

Essentially each card is powered by just one of the 6 pin PCI-e outputs on my PSU.

Firstly I would like to know if this cable setup will supply my cards with enough power? My main concern (and this is based on what I have read on these forum) is that 6 pin and 8 pin cables are designed to supply 75W and 150W of power respectively. So are my cards getting enough power for me to overclock them?

My second question is regarding the coloured & braided cables on the market, they all seem to be 8pin to 8pin but my PSU only has 2 8pin outputs which are allready taken up by the mobo. Obviously this is more a cable management issue and me wanting them to look a certain way but how would someone in my situation utilise such an 8pin to 8pin cable?
My guess is they are used as extension cables and connected to the 6+2 pin ends of the current cables and this brings me back to my first question about the 6 pin vs 8 pin outputs on my PSU.

I hope I have made everything clear,
Thanks in advance for any help.
