Help! problem updating bios on z170a krait gaming.

Hi guys, so currently i have the z170a krait gaming along with an i3 6100. So ive heard about the new skylake non k oc bios so i decided to look it up and found e7984.b5t file which is for my motherboard. However after putting the file into a usb flash frive (fat32) and entered m-flash, the bios wont recognize the file. Anyhelp!? Thanks for your time.

I heard that was only on some asrock z170 boards? Can you link me to where you read this?

I hope you know the risks of flashing the BIOS with a custom one. Does your z170 krait have a duel bios? If not you are at risk of bricking that mobo.

Search msi non k overclocking. No it doesnt have dual bios. But my question is, why wont m flash detect the .b5t file

Well i see the file from one drive is zipped so you unzipped it with winrar or 7 zip or something before you used it right? It wont work if you didn't. Beyond that im not sure I just looked in the manuel of your mobo it seems like a very simple process it should just detect it. Are you sure your using the right one? The one for your mobo is E7984IMS.B5T.

use 7zip
http://www.7-zip.org/
unzip it in your usb drive
restart the pc and put the usb drive in the usb 2.0 connector on your pc
enter in the bios screen and go to bios update section and check for your files if its detected and install it
