i know its a dead chip but well, alrdy bought used pc for about $200ish. idk if its a deal or not but i will mainly use for rendering, virtual machine and also VERY light gaming

the specs :

cpu : AMD FX8350 - will probably oc this to 4.2 - 4.5ghz
mobo : MSI 990FXA Gaming
ram : 4x4 Corsair 1600mhz
cooler : thermaltake frio advanced
and a second full tower psu about $40ish

and i have HD7790 lying around..

the question is what recommended psu for this setup? 600watt would be enough for that oc'd fx8350?

please i need you guys help, been reading here and there but a lot of "this bad that bad or will burn/explode your house" answer

ps : im on a budget prob $50-$60

It's more about quality rather than quantity. Yes, 600W is more than enough but not just any 600W.

Since you're on a budget, you'll have to go with the budget unit. This one is on sale at the moment.
Power Supply: Corsair - CX (2017) 750W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($59.99 @ Amazon)

and a few other choices.
Power Supply: SeaSonic - S12II 620W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($51.53 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: SeaSonic - EVO Edition 620W 80+ Bronze Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply ($55.06 @ B&H)
Power Supply: Corsair - CXM 650W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply ($59.90 @ Amazon)

Actually, that's a 7790 not a 7970. It is relatively low powered. You can use this 550W that is better quality than all of the above.
Power Supply: Corsair - TXM Gold 550W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply ($59.99 @ Amazon)

so its ok for oc fx8350 to use 550watt quality psu?
edit : i was thinking seasonic 620w or antec neoeco II 650w. those 2 psu are fairly same price in my country

yes its 7790 and im in southeast asia.

The 620w Seasonic platforms are old, using group regulated designs, but they are solid platforms considering their age. If there are no better units available within your budget you could do much worse than using one of these.

The Neo Eco II units, there are no reviews for, so it's hard to say because Antec has both very good and very poor quality units at all capacity ranges both currently and in the past. Without a review, I'm going to say no on those as I believe they are an older unit as well, using the same platform as the Cooler Master G series I think. Don't quote me on that. Regardless, an unknown factor usually means not worth reviewing.

Any of the units listed here should be a good choice if you can find them in your market at a reasonable price.
