Help purchasing new monitor

Hello all
I'm looking to purchase an IPS monitor 27-30" i have $700 to spend no more.
What do you guys think would be a good display to purchase? So far im looking at these 2 monitor:

Dell

Between those 2 the Asus is by far superior. Better response time, sound and higher contrast ratio.

I have the 23" version of the above linked one. It was excellently priced and I was not disapointed in the least. I live it. See if you can find it.

By all mean if there is a better manufacturer then those 2 i have linked please let me know. I dont think i want to import a monitor like the Yamakasi catleaps or the crossover monitors.

Then that is a tall order and the prices you have are pretty good. Get the Asus... Much better :lol:

I've got the 24" version of the Dell (U2412) and it works great. If there is any way you could get a look at these in person before you buy, do it.

They're both good monitors, so you really can't go wrong.

I have not heard of those ever... LOL can not help you much. Although the specs seem pretty decent.

hahaha yea, I was in the hardware sub-reddit (reddit.com/r/hardware) seen someone talking about being able to oc the refresh rate on these monitors. They are very reasonable priced.

I saw that. Pretty cool. As long as it does not effect warranty I would try those screens.

To tell you the truth im not a "very leap of faith" type of person i think ill take your advice and order the Asus monitor. Thanks very much for all your help! 😀
