My current pc's motherboard just died. It was used mainly for the internet, ms office work, watching movies, and converting cds to flac.
Could you please help recommend parts for a new pc, hopefully using as many parts as possible from the old pc. My budget is no more than $600.
The old pc's specs are:
- OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1
- CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 @ 3.00GHz Wolfdale 45nm Technology
- RAM: 8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR2 @ 333MHz (5-5-5-15)
- Monitors: DELL ST2410 (1920x1080@60Hz) and Samsung S/M 950p (1280x1024@85Hz)
- Graphics: 512MB ATI Radeon HD 4600 Series (Sapphire/PCPartner)
- Hard Drive: 119GB PLEXTOR PX-128M5S ATA Device (SSD)
- Optical Drive: HL-DT-ST DVD-RAM GSA-H54N ATA Device
- Case: Cooler Master Centurion 5
- PSU: Seasonic S12ii Bronze 620w
My peripherals include 3 external HDDs (one using usb 3.0), printer, webcam. I would also prefer if it was a full ATX motherboard. Thanks

It doesn't matter. 2x4 will be a tiny bit faster but 1x8 also works.
