So 2 days ago i ordered the Samsung c27fg73 monitor for about 270 euros when today I noticed that the AOC cq27g2 is coming out in about a week. I looked at the specs and it seems the aoc is better in most aspects but what should I do?
I'm an rpg player and play the occasional shooters but nothing competitive.
What I love are beautiful and smooth graphics.
So what do you guys think I should do?

If the screen is going to be used for rpggaming mostly, i would look elsewhere

both displays have a VA panel, which covers the "middle" ground between smoothness and image quality

in your case i would look for an IPS panel, which offers better image quality
(and is still fast in reaction time, but tn and va panels are faster but offer worse image quality)

depending on your GPU, you may choose to go 1080

If yes, would recommend this one:

Would It work well with the gigabyte geforce gtx 1060 6gb card? I have read that some aoc models have the screen flickering when using freesync with a Nvidia card.

Yes, that is exactly why i bought cq27g2 :)

One thing to keep in mind though

The cq27g2 does have "2k" res, but it has a VA panel

the g2u has 1080 res, but has an IPS panel

IPS= best image quality, slowest respons time
VA= middle ground
TN= worst image quality, fastest respons time

so you sacrife image quality for resolution

That is the decision to make

for me it was worth it as i play csgo alot
(my gpu is a 1070)

any clue on when it get shipped, mine should be in on wednesday
Sorry for the late respons, I got mine 3 days ago and have been testing it.
The monitor is great especially for the price your paying but I noticed my pc can't keep up with the monitor so I'm going to upgrade my rig. But all and all it's a great monitor. I'm very happy I bought it. Here in Belgium is released on the 19th of februari and I guess it should come out around the same time in the rest of Europe.
