Virtual Machine (2 guests - 4GB RAM, 1 core)
CPU - AMD RYZEN7 1700X - 467$
CPU Cooler - Noctua - NH-D15 - 106$
RAM - G.Skill Trident Z F4-3200C16D-16GTZR 3200Mhz - 277$
Motherboard - Gigabyte Aorus GA-AX370-Gaming-5 - 284$
GPU - Gigabyte GTX 1070 G1 gaming - 616$
Case - Antec P8 Tempered Glass Midi-ATX Case - 75$
Power Supply - Antec - EA650G-Pro - 650W Pro 80Plus Gold - 103$
Storage - I already own Samsung 850 evo 256GB + 650GB Hardisk
I want to save somewhere around 200$, the goal is to reach around 1680$ instead of the current build which is around 1860$.
I think I can save money by:
1. Picking a different CPU cooler like Noctua - NH-U12S (67$) or Cooler Master 212 Evo (60$) (Do I really need Noctua - NH-D15?)
2. Picking a different RAM like G.Skill Trident Z 16GB 2400Mhz - 165$
Questions:
1. Can I use Ryzen 1700x with a 3200MHz memory? (AMD describes in their website that it only supports up to 2666MHz)
2. Does Gigabyte Aorus x370 Gaming 5 a good motherboard for the Ryzen 1700x? (If not, which one should I buy)
