I need a new case for better airflow, cable management, and more room for a 2nd MSI GeForce GTX 970.

This case sits 1 foot from my face everyday and it is driving me insane finding a good looking case with:
-good airflow
-room
-side window to see my GPU
-affordable. (around $150)

I was looking at these so far:

Antec 1200 V3
Antec 900

Cooler Master CM 690 III (green) 😀

I REALLY REALLY like the look of the CM 690 III, but I have been told the Antec cases provide better air cooling.

Does the CM 690 III have enough space and cooling for my PC build?
and does anyone else have a cool case that's big with a window?

Antec has a 30% off everything deal until the 10th, that is what put me onto a new case today.

any advice is appreciated! THANKS :)

Perhaps the NZXT S340 it's a sexy looking case if you ask me, and it comes in other colors too. But the glossy black default one ise 65 bucks on Amazon right now (it was 153$). I think it fits all the requirements you said it should, judging by the reviews it has decent air flow, a massive side window.

Here's the GPU clearance from their website:
GPU Clearance w/ Radiator: 334 mm, w/o Radiator: 364 mm, CPU Cooler: 161 mm 15.5lbs

I hope I helped you :)

The Antec cases are terrible by today's standards. The drive bays require special screws to attach the HDD's And because the drive bays pull out from the front, you can't mount radiators to the front. Also the top mounted 200mm fan doesn't take rads either. The fans are independently speed controlled, which makes replacing them harder. On to of that many cases will have have single speed control for all the fans making it much easier. In short

Go with the Cooler master case. It will cool just fine.

Unfortunately it has no room for disk drives. 🙁

I didn't know that about Antec cases, thanks! :) I found the cooler master I want, I will make sure it has everything I want before purchase. 😀

I have a few more questions! :)

My PC info:
My current case is the Thermaltake V2, great case, but it is just too small for my future plans.

I run an AMD Phenom II X6 1100T BE. When I first built this PC I never used the side fan port. When I first put an intake fan directly onto the CPU, my CPU temps lowered A LOT. My case has a solid front with two small side openings for air intakes

Thus, my new problem!

What I'm looking for:
I want my new case to have an "open" front to allow more air in. But, I am not sure if this will compensate for losing the side air port blowing fresh air directly on my CPU.

I would like to purchase the Fractal design Arc XL. It is large with lots of room for expansion and airflow.

Questions:
Will this case provide enough air flow to compensate for losing my current side intake for the CPU?

Also, can I paint the outside green without causing heating issues?
