Help selecting a GPU

I currently have an AMD 5770 graphics card. Its locking up my PC when I try tobdo anything that really taxes it. Heck even installing windows 10 is causing it to lock up.

I know its the card as the fan spins up. After a bit it locks. I can make it last longer by using a box fan but it still locks up before win 10 can finish installing doing a fresh install.

Im looking for another card as cheap as possible to last me until tax refund. I'd like it to have sane capabilities my 5770. I'd like it to be able to handle 2 monitors. 1080p and secondary smaller native is 1440 x 900 I think.

Any suggestions? Again, as cheap as possible.
