Nah, just a different perspective. It's the people vying for power
that polarize and pit us against each other. In most cases the end
goals are similar, it's a difference of opinion on how we get from A
to B. Our ability to talk *to*, rather than *at* each other will be
the key to whether we survive as a society, or whether some other form
of government/organization/species will supplant us.

The city where I live has pretty cheap court costs ($40 or so) but the
ticket gets really jacked up with other fees. There is an ambulance service
fee or something, and several others.

The real problem for me was that going to court means missing work. Missing
work costs significantly more than just paying the ticket. Of course if
you've got lots of time on your hands that's a different story.
