Help to build or buy a gaming pc. I'm from the UK.

Hi, I'm from the UK and made the mistake by rushing and buying a PC instead of researching what it could do and it also came with marks on the window from the CPU screws so I'm returning it. I'm hoping for a refund in the next week or so and thought I'd ask on a online forum for advice on either how to build or buy a gaming PC. I have roughly £700-£800 to spend on a pc, I have an old monitor I could use in the mean time and I have a mouse so I would just need to buy a keyboard.

Do you have non-gaming uses that require a lot of power, such as high-end video editing or statistical modeling? Are you intending to stream? Are there specific genres of game you're more likely to play on this PC than others? What resolution is your current monitor?

The only thing I would be doing is playing games on it, preferably AAA games. The problem I had with the last PC is that the CPU was maxing out and my room got pretty hot from maybe because the CPU running so high or because the fans weren't good enough. I struggled to play space engineers which I used to love to play and I'd like to try PUBG. I'm not entirely sure what the specs of my current monitor is but it's not an issue at the moment because I can invest in a better monitor later when I have the money to do so.

Would this run PUBG and space engineers? Recommended for space engineers says intel i5 3.0 ghz or higher.

Also you didn't include fans in that build does the case come with fans and would that be sufficient?

Thanks, yea I thought about going 2666 with the RAM but it makes such a small difference (like 1-2 FPS) that I didn't think it was worth it in this build. Plus I was trying to keep everything color coordinated (white/black/grey theme).

It's talking about 3ghz on a older Intel CPU, newer gen's even if the clock is lower it will outperform it, plus the 8400 will boost a few cores up to 4ghz when needed so you have plenty of CPU power for those games. As for the cooling the two intake fans work great but you could always add a fan in the rear if needed.

I would need to purchase windows 10 right? Where do I get the drivers from?

This is a pretty basic build, nothing fancy except the M.2 SSD which connects directly to the motherboard, I chose this as you won't need to hook it up with SATA connections which is less wiring and better airflow for the system. As for building there are a ton of video's and guides out there, I would recommend taking your time. The case also is large enough to work in and should be fairly easy but not some massive bulky tower. Also if you run into any issues post them here and well do our best to help you out.

Yes you'll want to buy Windows 10 at some point but initially you don't need to, just download the ISO, install Windows 10 and skip the part where it asks for a CD key.
