I went to install Windows on my computer, however; when booting off my installer usb I am greeted with a screen listing the specifications of my PC. If anyone has any knowledge of this happening please help.

I checked the manual for your mobo....The only thing I can think is to make sure in BIOS that you have set the USB-HDD as the primary boot device. Your hard drive set to be the second.

Then, while still in BIOS make sure you have USB 1 & 2.0 controllers enabled, and obviously Legacy mode enabled. Your problem at the moment is that it doesn't seem to be detecting the USB stick in the boot menu.

Try it in different USB ports too. Preferably one of the USB ports directly on the back mobo panel In case your front panel headers are not working, or a port is not being detected upon boot.

Your other option would be to burn the Windows 10 ISO to a DVD and try to boot with that.
Are you able to get to the boot selection screen? In order to select the USB to boot? Usually pressing F11, F12 would show the boot selection screen on startup and let you pick the bootable USB to enter Windows setup.

If not, then you may have to enable "show boot menu" in BIOS (press F2 or Del after powering on), In BIOS you might also have to disable UEFI Secure Boot mode, make sure the boot mode is set to Legacy for the USB stick. This should allow it to boot into Windows setup after that.

This happened after i selected the usb as the boot device, however; there are multiple different usb types eg)usb zip, usb cd etc. I did try all different types, all resulting with this screen displaying my hardware specifications.

Also i could not find UEFI secure boot mode or Legacy in my BIOS.

After a little research i did find it, and legacy boot is enabled.

However i still couldnt find uefi secure boot.

My motherboard is the Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3L, it's a socket 775 board.

There may not be a UEFI Secure boot option, that's quite an old motherboard....as long as you have Legacy boot enabled.

So when you bring up the boot menu....can you see your USB stick as an option? It might be shown as USB-HDD or similar... Selecting that should allow it to boot to Windows setup.

Also, have you updated the mobo bios to the latest version?

I did try the USB-HDD option but still the same result.

Can you see any other references to the USB stick in the boot menu? Usually it would show the brand name....eg. SanDiskUSB or something like that. Make sure you have the USB stick into a USB 2.0 port (Black) and not a USB 3.0 port(blue)

If you cant see the USB in the boot menu....then you'll need test it in another PC, or else to try using a different USB stick in case it's faulty.

Look im really sorry, I actually found it reasonably helpful, I'm new to this forum and didn't know what it did.

I tested the USB on another PC and and it worked and booted right into the install process. I think there might be some faulty hardware in my PC causing the issue.
