I'm helping a friend build a new Gaming PC, he's got a budget of around $1000 USD. I'd love some imput on this build he came up with, linked below. I was thinking an i5-9600K and a RX 5700 might be a big boost for a small increase in price. Any feedback or suggestions are appreciated!

Little bit more expensive but far superior in performance.
You can run Windows10 perfectly fine without activation. No need to spend that huge amount on it while compromising on performance which really matters.

Yes, I'd definitely forget intel for now as AMD is price to performance king atm. I'd wholly agree with the build above, aside maybe from 1gb of SSD or NVME disk space if you can afford it, or an addition of a standard HD for storage.

I missed it before but you live in Canada. What is your budget in CAD. We can give you suitable list CAD unless for some reason you want to import stuff from USA.

No CPU doesn't need a cooling unit. As the stock cooler is not bad.
Difference between price of a decent 550W and 650W is not that much. Having 650W is better.

Wait, is this US or Canadian currency? You gave us a list that already had US prices and requested $1000 US, but are also in Vancouver; are you buying from Canadian stores? Knowing what the situation is will help us get you the right list.

Hah, yes my friend is in Canada. He went ahead and made some changes to the build here to reflect that and pressed go. Hopefully it works out but i think it will.
