Help with 4 monitor setup

I have a 4 GB graphic card (which on the box said it was powerful enough for up to 4 screens). I build my pc. start setting everything up. Then when I get to monitors, There is only one HDMI out port. I've heard that using a splitter would just show the same thing on all of the screens and I don't want that. I wanted 3 to stretch and 1 for other use. Example: game on the 3 stretch, Google on fourth monitor.

How would I do this with only 1 HDMI Out?

What video card do you have? More than likely you are going to need dvi to hdmi and displayport to hdmi adapters if the monitors only support hdmi.

At A second look I see it's only 3 GB. But I would still at least like to do a Three Monitor stretch

So for 4 HDMI monitors you will need 2 mini displayport to hdmi adapters and 1 dvi to hdmi adapter.

The memory doesn't determine how many monitors the video card supports. The 280x can support up to 6 displays with the use of a Displayport MST Hub. But where you are only using 4 monitors you don't need the hub. Now it's not going to perform well if you try to game accross those monitor though.

Gaming across multiple monitors requires alot of gpu horsepower. even the 780 ti gets hammered at resolutions like 5760x1080(3 1080p monitors).
