APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: sometime in the next month or two

BUDGET RANGE: ($5-600) and don't want to deal with rebates if i dont have to.

SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: (light gaming (alittle WoW), movies on monitor, websurfing, desktop for college next 2 years possibly more)

PARTS NOT REQUIRED: (keyboard, mouse, monitor, speakers, printer, operating system, might have an old 7200rpm laptop hardrive lying around and add a 3.5 one later. dont need peripherals, just tower& h ardware)

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: (newegg.com, zipzoomfly.com) (also dont mind going to a fry's or microcenter (this can be either close to NYC or LA as i travel between the two alot)

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: US

PARTS PREFERENCES: Id prefer an intel build, but dont necissarily care too much i guess. i want it to be reliable. i like ati abit more, better experiences

OVERCLOCKING: Light OC at the most, dont like it too loud.
SLI/CF: more of a single card guy, would consider it if i found another card a year down the road or so for a decent price.

MONITOR RESOLUTION: (1920x1080 (dell s2209w))

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: I want to use a antec 300 unless you guys find something good for around $50. I want it to be decently quiet. i will perform upgrades in the future. (i have expierience with fan replacement, CPU coolers, i know how to assemble just have not kept up with tech over past 2 years) (light OC, like to keep things stock for awhile and see what happens when more capital comes in, if phenom i dont mind trying to unlock a core or two.) and i want upgradeability as i stressed earlier

edit: found some more monies
