Hi, I'm trying to figure out what my voltage should be for my stock 8700k. Currently CPUID shows my voltage at .680v-1.350v with a max value of 1.430. Is this normal? I've seen OC'd 8700k's running 5ghz at 1.4v which got me worried.

My motherboard is a asrock z370 pro 4. I checked UEFI and my voltage is set to AUTO at 1.350v. Should I try to lower this or leave it?

Not sure if this matters but XMP is enabled and MCE is disabled.

Sorry if I didn't post enough information, If you need more please don't hesitate to ask and I will do my best. I appreciate any help.

Thanks

It depends on the board sometimes. Some boards overvolt for no reason, probably for weak CPUs to ensure stability across all CPUs. You can try manual voltage of 1.20v and see it it is stable at stock clocks. If not stable, raise by 0.010. You likely might end up with lower voltage than auto and lower temp too.
Honestly, I would not be comfortable with a voltage more than 1.280v on air and more than 1.35v for water cooling. Especially you're on stock clocks and not ovetclcoking. For many reasons, power consumption, temp, longevity of components to name few reasons.
