I have a CyberPower Gaming Desktop. I took it in to work at Staples, when I worked there, and the manager helped me update the bios. It worked shortly at work, but when I got home all the computer did was nothing. I found the the EasyDiag CPU Led was flashing.
Is it possible that I used th wrong update on the bios, and destroied my CPU? I got the BIOS update from the MSI website for the mother board I have. My boss help to ensure I got the right one. I trusted him as he builds PC's and I do not.

The mother board I have is a MSI B350M Bazooka. The computer is a number of years old. I originally had the MSI Click Bios on it, and the update ws not a Click Bios.

I have tried removing the power from the outlet, I then removed the CMOS battery, to reset the Bios, to no avail. I am at a lose. I am hoping I do not need a new CPU, I would be nervious the current BIOS may fry the new CPU.

Can anyone offer any suggestions?

I download the update from the MSI website, asked my boss to confirm it, and used the flash utility in the old BIOS to do the update.

As for troubleshooting, I tries removing the CMOS battery, took the RAM out, and replaced them one at time. Nother helped. As I mentioned I have not built any PC, and not real good with hardware, but I am willing to learn.

Next question, could the new BIOS have done something to the CPU that caused the LED to flash?

Unfortuantly I do not have that information, I did this 6 monthe ago, and when the computer stopped working I went to work on a laptop. I recently thought I would try to get my desktop working again. All I can remember if that to old BIOS was a MSI ClickBios, and seem to remeber the version was maybe 3. I do now anything aout the update. The computer is quit old, maybe to old for the new BIOS update I tried installing. Wish I could be more help.
