Hi guys,

I'm looking to get a new pc sometime soon, and I'm looking for one that will be able to run most if not all games without any concerns, and as far as I know a custom built one is the best place to start..

However, I wouldn't even know where to begin when looking at parts, if someone could help me with a build that would be very appreciated!

Also a monitor included in the build would be great, as I think it's best to match the hertz? Or something.. sorry for my lack of knowledge haha

You have to start with a budget. A system can cost like $700 or $7000 depending on what you want.

"Any game with no concerns", is a moving target. Resolution and settings are important so if you wanted to do 1080p 60hz, then it could easily be sub-$1000. If you want 240hz 1080p then probably closer to $1500. 1440p 144hz, maybe $2500, and we can go up from there

Have you ever built a pc before?

Do you need a monitor as well with the $1500 budget? If not what model is your current monitor?
i haven't personally but I have a friend that would help build it, and if possible a monitor included in the budget, depending on how much they are

Not 100% sure on its model right now (Not at home) but it is pretty old maybe 7 or 8 years old now

What games do you want to play on PC? With your budget a PS5/X Box X and a 42" OLED may be a possibility.
Sons of the forest seems pretty cool as I played the first one, but also games with graphics like the newer call of dutys as well (not that I play cod but the graphics are nice)
I would go for a consol but I need a pc as well for work so

@Lorathia13 I didn't add a gpu to this build for the simple fact that Nvidia is due to release the RTX 4070 and RTX 4060 this April. Expect the 4060 to retail for around $400 USD.

Really think it deserved the 5800X, in case your games or work are CPU heavy, however if a 3070 RTX (or above) shows up for a similar price to the 6800, I would go for that

From all these builds are there any that would be bottlenecked by a certain piece of hardware?

Or are they pretty much all good to last for a few years?

Also, if someone doesn't mind could someone let me know their preferred one and why?
Sorry for being a complete novice at this..

If you were sitting behind the keyboard you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference between many of the builds posted.

They all will perform well for many years before the usual gpu upgrade is needed.

Yeah alright that makes sense, I'll keep deciding on a build then, but thank you very much for your help!
