Hi there,
I’m building a new pc as the last one I built was about 5+ years ago and is kinda of outdated now.
I was wondering if someone could look at the build that I’m currently planning and give me some advice.
I live in the UK and my budget is around £1100 but there is room to increase it if needed.
I plan to use the pc for gaming, mainly first person shooters at a Resolution of 1920x1080 and aim to have the graphic settings around medium for most future games as a minimum.
Heres the parts list

There are a few questions about this build that I wasn’t 100% sure about.

There are a few questions about this build that I wasn’t 100% sure about.
- Should I go with an amd 3700x or 5600x for a cpu?
- If I do go with 5600x will the current motherboard be okay?
- Is it worth spending the extra money to getting 3600mhz ram or is 3400/3200 fine
- Will just using the stock cooler be fine for my needs or should I consider getting a new cpu air cooler, maybe something like a noctua NH-D15 or is that a bit over kill
- How’s my choice of psu, is it fine? Or is there something that’s better suited to this build
- Whens the best time to buy parts? Is it worth while waiting for black Friday or cyber Monday?
- Is there any reason to go with an 2060 super and not the 5700xt?
