Hello Everyone,

I recently acquired a Pegatron IPMIP-GS/H55 Rev 1.02 LGA 1156 motherboard and while I've scoured Google, I can't seem to find much information about it. I did find what seems to be the correct manual, but I still have a couple of questions. Hopefully, someone can point me in the right direction.

1. What's the best CPU I can put into it? The manual I found says it supports Clarkdale CPUs. However, being LGA 1156, does anyone know if it could actually handle Lynnfield? Ideally, I'd like to put a quad-core into it. If it matters, CPU-Z tells me that the chipset is Havendale/Clarkdale Host Bridge Rev 18.

2. Does anyone know how to update the BIOS? The BIOS is American Megatrends from May of 2016. When I go to their site, I can install the AMIBIOS8 upgrade tool, but I don't know where to actually download the new version of the BIOS.

Thanks for any help you can provide!

Yes, I did see that, but I couldn't find any information on ASUS's site or at Pegatron's about this board. Anyone know which OEM PC this motherboard was used in? Maybe that would answer my question?

Yes, I saw that website too. My current CPU is a Core i3 550 and it says I need a higher BIOS than I apparently have already, so I'm not sure how reliable that site is or that it's referring to my BIOS. According to CPU-Z, my current BIOS version is IPMIP-GS-Si-0102.
