I'm new to the forum and I was hoping to run a build past you all. I've been out of PC gaming for a while, and although around 12 years ago I built my own gaming PC, I was no expert!
My hope is to order a prebuilt system from Opsys (their prices seem okay, they look like they offer a good warranty, lifetime support, free labour on upgrades and their online reviews are great).
I have a 4k monitor (Asus TUF VG289Q), so I would like a spec that can manage 4k at high settings. First game would probably be Hogwarts Legacy. The set up would only be for gaming.
I've read good things about the 7800X3D, so long as the motherboard bios is updated!
I initially started with a budget of £2k. This comes in higher at £2804, but I can stretch to that, but no further. I'd want the system to last a good 3-4 years before I consider any upgrades.
