Help with building custom gaming computer!

I'm planning on buying all of my components from Newegg and getting some of my friends to put it together with me. Trying to get it to $1600 (+-$150) So far I have

Maybe ASUS Xonar DX 7.1 Sound Card for $80.99 but I have the Steelseries Siberia V2 7.1 which has a USB Sound card that is 7.1 apparently but I don't know if it is the same as Having the Xonar.

It comes out to about $1900 with the Xonar.
If there are any cheaper replacements, better upgrades, anything please let me know. IBuyPower was charging aboue $2100+ for a PC very similar to this so if anyone can help I would gladly appreciate it.

ASUS P9X79 LE LGA 2011 is not compatible with lga 1155 cpus(sandybridge or ivybridge), only lga 2011 ones(SB-E)

Get a z77 board(asrock z77 extreme 6, msi z77 mpower), also get an i5-3570k, no performance difference in gaming, they're both quad-cores.
Ditch the sound card, if your planning to do latter on a SLI setup of 680 gtx, i recommend going with other card, like the 680 gtx MSI lightning, cause the asus is a triple slot one.

With those changes its no $1650.
Should I go with the AMD equivalants of the i5 and GTX 680 and save some money or keep these because I know they are using newer technology. I was also reading around that the Corsair Hydro Series H60 isn't that good but it was the best rated one I found on Newegg for liquid cooling. Other than that do you think its a pretty good PC? Games I will be playing are Starcraft 2, WoW, GW2, Farcry 3, and some other games possibly. I might also start music production with FL Studio and want enough processing for that.
