Hi guys,

Many of you have experienced the start of 3D graphics on the PC machines on late 90’s, machines that have experienced conversion of DOS and Windows 3.1 in to the beautifull Win 95/98.

There my pinpoint wants to be. As I have grown surrounded by Win95/98 games, I’m now eager to play them again, but from behind a powerfull machine, built of hardware that can run Windows 98SE flawlessly, as back then I could only afford a Pentium 166mhz, 32MB Ram, 6GB HDD, and 2MB of dedicated video :)

I tend of using Latest Pentium 3 models, early P4, with no more than 512MB of Ram, so I would need some suggestions and a little help.

Promise I will never get rid of it, and keep it for years and years until it becomes a piece of museum

Thanks guys

I love old hardware too, right now i write from a pretty old computer, my suggestion would be a Core 2 Duo e6300 (almost the same lithography like P4 630 for eg. and only 1 year newer than the p4 630) with 1 or 2 gb of ddr2 PC 4200 533mhz, and a 40/80gb hdd, it will run 98 with no problem, you can go for millennium too i am pretty sure it will run all old games you want to run, and will be good for some browsing too.

Actually everything depends what would you choose - original or new. Well if original then Pentium 3 or Pentium 4 PGA would be great. Paired with 512 or 256 MB of RAM. If something newer then Core2 Duo or Quad with 2 GB Ram
