Hi guys, I have a antec p280 case with a built in manual fan controller in the back of my tower and I was wondering how I can automatically control it through my motherboard instead of manually adjusting it everytime. My motherboard has a 4 pin fan and I have a molex to 4 pin fan cable but when I connect the 4 pin fan to motherboard and the molex to the fan controller on my case, the motherboard does not recognize it or nothing shows up in the bios. (Motherboard is asus maximus vi gene)

Thanks.

You have me confused. How are you using the fan controller when you are plugging the fan directly into the MB header?
Edit: never mind, I just looked at the case and see the rear fan wired directly to the controller. is that the fan you want to control with the MB header?

But simply plugging in a Molex to fan header adapter won't do it. The Molex on the controller is expecting to get a Molex directly from the PSU. By going from the controller to the header, the BIOS is not seeing 3 separate fans and their tach feedback. You'd have to separate the fans and individually connect them to individual headers on the MB.

Are there 3 or 4 wires from the fans to the fan controller now?
