hey guys , i need help on deciding where and how i should connect my 2 case fans on my Nox Hummer MC Zero Edition Case. This case comes with 2 fan switches in 3 speeds ( High , stop and Low) , and each switch controls 2 fans . i currently have my 2 fans ( one intake in the front and one exaust in the back) connected to switch #1 and the case supports 2 more ( 1 on top and 1 in the front ).

My problem is : Should i connect the 4 fans (atm i only have two but in the near future i'm getting the other 2 ) to the mobo (asus prime b350m-a) ??? is it safe to get any kind of controller and then connect mobo-> controller-> 4 fans ? and is there any way to controll the fans from the mobo and case controllers simultaniously ?

NOTE: i my case fans are 3 pin , and both motherboard fan headers are 4 pin
NOTE 2: my case only supports 120mm fans
NOTE 3: both headers on the motherboard are 4pin heads. And i have 3 pin fans

Solution
Wouldn't plug 4 fans to 1 header.
2 is usually safe, anything above depends on the actual header.
But manual control over the case is of course cheaper and works as well
so where's your problem?

you can connect up to 4 fans to the case, 1 to the board if I got that right?
you can also buy a splitter for that fan header and connect 2 fans to the board, the other 2 to the case.
that way you can run it with 2 fans and activate the other 2 only if needed

I was wondering if connecting them to the motherboard would be better and more silence since it would Ramp them up or down depending on the needs like automatically... so that's why i asked if it is "SAFE" to plug 4 fans to 1 header and better then having to choose manually only bettween having them stopped, low rpm or high rpm :)

why ? wouldnt it be better if i let the motherboard decide to spin them up high or low when needed ? via software of course
