Hi,
I am currently upgrading my computer, and I have just stumbled on a problem.
Basically, I have bought a new case and a new PSU, so I am moving all my current components to the new case. All my components are in my case, but the power supply I bought has an 8-pin CPU connector, and my motherboard, which is a micro-ATX motherboard, only has a 4-pin CPU socket.

Is there any way that I can connect it up?

Thanks in advance.

Edit: My power supply is the Corsair 750w Modular PSU and my motherboard is the ASUS P8H61-MX 2.0 .

Solution

you can detach the 4-pin from the cpu power connector (as corsair wrote it in the PSU manual)
