I have SURFboard DOCSIS 3.0 modem connected to the NetGear AC3200 nighthawk X6 router, I also have comcast internet and voice.

When comcast installed my voice they hooked up a arris emta modem. I disconnected it and turned back on my surfboard.

I would like to connect some kind of adapter to my router to support voice. I saw this adapter but I don't think that will work.

Is there a way to connect either a cat5/6 or usb to my router and support voice?

Links to both devices:
modem
router

I also have a windows home server 2012 connected directly to my router

I believe to use their voice service you have to use their modem. You could change your phone to a different VOIP service (Vonage, OOMA) and would get an additional adapter that would have an ethernet port and RJ11 ports.
