Build Advice Help with D-RGB fans setup?

So I bought a CyberPowerPC Model C series and wanted to rebuild it's fans on a different tower. There are a total of 3 D-RGB fans and I've managed to daisy chain them together.

Problem, when I connect the 3-pin D-RGB (ADD_GEN2) to the MB I don't get lights. I don't know if any of this setup was connected to the MB or if the original case had a controller, is that possible? I dont see any other way to power them either, other than connected a big 4-pin molex cable directly from the PSU to the fans.
Any help is appreciated.

EDIT: The fans are daisy chained together and has an 3pin female DRGB extender on one end to connect to the MB. I've managed to power on the fans via 4pin molex straight from the PSU but I'm still not getting any lights.
Question, do I have to do anything with the 3pin female heads that are on each fan?

EDIT 2: I tried connecting a single D-RGB fan with the 3pin female D-RGB to the MB and the fans 3-pin FAN cord. It powered up but no lights. I am testing this outside of the tower case and no GPU, could this be an issue?

The "D-RGB (ADD_GEN2)" system on your mobo is the newest version of D-RGB with added features. It CAN work with earlier versions of D-RGB (which I suspect is what you have), BUT it is set by default to the more advanced way of doing things. Look closely in your mobo manual and the utility app supplied with your mobo for lighting control for a configuration option to change the D-RGB system to the older simpler settings.

The thing is, I was using the exact same setup before I took the prebuild apart, minus the GPU. The lights worked before I took it apart.
