Hey guys. So I've decided that I want to make my own gaming PC. I've never built a computer before, but I've always been interested in the idea and I am a major computer geek so I feel that the building process wouldn't be too bad. I have done my research and have decided on the parts that I feel would best suit my needs. I have a $1000 budget and am looking for a high end gaming PC. If you can please look at the parts that I have listed and tell me if they are good, and if you have any better suggestions then PLEASE feel free to tell me. That would be greatly appreciated.

If you also know of a place where I can get these parts cheaper than the websites listed then I would also greatly appreciate it if you could advise me. Thanks in advance! :)

So you recommend the 212 EVO instead of the Plus? Does everything else look pretty good?

1. Is this power supply good? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182132

2. What's better about the low profile version? And would these work good too? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820147096
Which one would work better? Thanks for the reply though!

1. I just wouldn't bother with Rosewill. A couple of their PSU lines are decent like the Capstone and Fortress series but I'd avoid everything else. Antec, Corsair, and Seasonic are the best manufacturers around right now.

2. If you want to add a cooler you will need low profile RAM.

Oh okay. Now I understand. So I'll just go with the low profile Corsair Vengeance. Thanks!

That's mainly due to the clearance level the cooler's fan requires - if you use the high profile RAM your fan won't line up with your cooler.
