Help with Gaming computer!

I have recelently bought my gaaming computer and i have yet to build it. I was watching a JayzTwoCents video and he saaid if you dont have a good power supply it can ruin your whole computer. i already bought it though, will it work it is gold rated 80 and will it ruin my computer because of not enough power?
