Help with GPU buy for i5 4690

I have a i5 4690 (non k) and i wanna buy the best GPU that he can handle without bottleneck. Can he run fine with 1080 gtx or 1070 gtx? Thanks in advance, and sorry for my bad english...

What resolution? For 1080p even the 1070 is a bit more than the 4690 will keep up with in the latest cpu heavy games.

Yeah. There are a few games that cpu won't hold 60 fps but that's going to happen regardless of cpu. The 1070 should allow max or nearly max settings at the frames your cpu can push.

I had a 4690k OC'd to 4.5, but regardless of that the CPU you have should be enough for a 1070, it will bottleneck slightly, but it will be enough to handle the 1070, it's a solid processor and you wont run into any real sort of problems unless you're playing in open world games and you place ultra in the number of characters you want appearing in your games like The Witcher 3 or Grand Theft Auto 5; or if you play very CPU demanding games.
