Hi

I have a HP workstation z220 which has NVIDIA Quadro K600 on HP 1790 motherboard along with Intel Core i7 3770 3.4 GHz.

I want to be able to play games with this one and want to install a high end GTX graphics card like GTX 970 and upwards (preferably 980Ti or 1080). Is it possible to do with suitable PSU upgrade?

Is it a small form factor version? (How wide is the case?)

Check if your motherboard has one extra pci slot (The same slot that the Quadro K600 is plugged in), if there is extra, then yea you should be able to. I have a 750 ti and a Quadro k600 in my computer and it worked fine. My monitor is always plugged in to the 750 ti (in the first PCI slot) and the driver will select the GPU to use depends on what software I'm using. All I did was plugged the Quadro in and installed the driver. I don't know if you can get the same thing with mixing AMD and Nvidia cards but if you are getting a Geforce card then yea you should be getting the same result as mine.

Hi Jiahong

Thank you very much for the reply.

I have checked the motherboard, there is another PCIe slot. The dimension of the casing is 43cm*17.5cm* 47cm. I am wondering if GTX1080 is going to fit inside the casing. Other than that, which PSU should I buy for seamless operation? Will it require extra cooling fans? Also my RAMs are DDR3. I am concerned whether they will bottleneck the performance.
