Help with HDD installation

Currently trying to install a 3.5" Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB HDD inside my Aerocool DS200 case. This is the first time I've ever built a PC before.

I'm trying to install the HDD inside one of the 3.5" brackets, so that the connectors are facing me. I can get it inside the tray but I can't click it back into the mount because the front sticks out too much. It works if I swap directions, but I'd prefer to have the cables coming from the front rather than the back.

I know I'm probably being a giant <mod edit> here and there's a simple solution but I'm never too proud to ask for help.

I'm not 100% familiar with the case, but often you can unscrew the guide rails and reverse them and thus insert the HDD from the other direction. Depends on the clearance, of course, of the case wall.
